Abstract
The research aims to study work motivation level of police officers in Srinakarin police station, Sribakarin district, Phatthalung province , to compare work motivation level of police officers in Srinakarin police station, Sribakarin district, Phatthalung province, classified in term of salary , working period and police officer rank and to study the suggestion about work motivation level of police officers in Srinakarin police station, Sribakarin district, Phatthalung province.The sample consisted of 76 police officers of Srinakarin police station, Sribakarin district, Phatthalung province and the data were collected through a questionnaire. The data were statistically analyzed by using SPSS for window and presented in the form of percentage, mean ,standard deviation , t-test and f-test [One Way Anova].
The finding of the study revealed that;
1. Work motivation level of police officers in Srinakarin police station, Sribakarin district, Phatthalung province, the overall were at the moderate level ( = 3.42). When considering each found that work motivation level of police officers was at the moderate level within job advancement, policy and administration, environmental, salary and fringe benefit, chance advancement in future , personal life and job security. The high level of work motivation was job achievement, accountability, job characteristic , township supervisors , the relationship between commander and colleagues and occupational status.
2. The comparison of work motivation level of police officers in Srinakarin police station, Sribakarin district, Phatthalung province, classified in term of working period, the overall were not statistically significant difference at 0.05 (t = -1.267, Sig = 0.209).
3. The comparison of work motivation level of police officers in Srinakarin police station, Sribakarin district, Phatthalung province, classified in term of police office’s rank, the overall were statistically significant difference at 0.05 (t = 2.296, Sig = 0.031).
